About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our growing renewable energy division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid) while ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments (remote and on-site) for solar installations.
• Prepare detailed system design including layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical schematics.
• Perform solar energy yield estimation using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar.
• Size and select inverters, modules, cables, junction boxes, earthing, and other components.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, and other relevant codes/standards.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams for BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation.
• Optimize designs for performance, cost, and safety.
• Support tendering and proposal teams with technical inputs.
• Provide technical documentation (drawings, datasheets, reports, project proposals).
• Assist the project execution team with technical clarifications and design changes if required.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Solar PV system design (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, MS Office, SketchUp (or similar tools).
• Understanding of electrical system design and load analysis.
• Familiarity with Indian and international solar codes & standards.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 1–3 years of experience in solar design engineering. (Freshers with strong technical skills may also apply).
• Certification in Solar PV Design & Installation will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹14,145.82 - ₹30,000.00 per month
