Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Software Developer with expertise in mainframe technologies to join our dynamic development team. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications to meet our organization's software requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient solutions on time.

Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day activities as a Mainframe developer will be as follows:

• Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
• Develop/Change the mainframe components based on the requirements.
• Should perform Unit testing.
• Debugging and fixing issues in existing systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams
• Maintaining and updating technical documentation
• Staying up to date with latest mainframe technologies and trends

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills to get the eligibility of their profile assessed. The must have requirements are:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Mainframe, COBOL, JCL, VSAM and DB2.
• Experience in Endeavor, File Aid, Xpeditor, and Abend Aid tools.
• Good Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Coding, Testing, and ability to work in a high-volume capacity.
• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts.
• Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Good communication skills

Candidates with these extra skills on their resumes have an added advantage while their profile is being assessed. Some of them are as follows:

• Knowledge on DB2, NATURAL and ADABASE
• Experience in legacy application modernization.
• Domain knowledge of P& C Insurance
