Software Engineer Sr Mgr

About the Role:

This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and effective delivery of data-driven solutions, leveraging tools such as Collibra and Soda, and aligning with our overall business strategy. You will be leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring the quality and integrity of our data assets.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex data projects within an Agile and Scrum framework. They possess a deep understanding of data governance principles, data quality best practices, and Master Data Management methodologies. They are skilled at building and managing high-performing, self-organizing Scrum teams, fostering collaboration, and driving projects to completion through iterative development and continuous improvement. They are also comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and have experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies.

What You’ll Do:

• Agile Delivery: Lead data governance and MDM projects using Agile/Scrum. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies. Manage sprint backlogs, release plans, and risks.
• Team Leadership: Lead and guide cross-functional Scrum teams. Foster collaboration and a self-organizing environment. Remove impediments.
• Data Governance (Collibra): Oversee Collibra implementation/maintenance. Drive adoption. Manage configurations/integrations.
• Data Quality (Soda): Lead the implementation/management of data quality using Enterprise DQ tool Soda. Increase adoption across various teams.
• MDM Delivery: Lead the delivery of our MDM strategy, including data modeling, data integration, and data governance initiatives. Oversee the implementation of data matching, merging, and cleansing rules.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across different segments and D&T teams. Facilitate meetings/presentations. Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly and concisely to stakeholders, including sprint progress and upcoming deliverables.
• Process Improvement: Optimize delivery processes using Agile feedback. Implement best practices. Continuously identify opportunities to improve data delivery processes and optimize project efficiency, using insights from sprint retrospectives.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing data delivery projects.
• Proven experience in leading the implementation and management of data governance frameworks and tools, including Collibra.
• Experience working with Relational database, preferably Snowflake and Postgres
• Strong understanding of data quality principles and experience with data quality tools, such as Soda.
• Experience with delivering Master Data Management (MDM) projects.
• Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
