The EA Digital Platform (EADP) group provides central services that help game teams to tap into the power of the global EA ecosystem. Compatible across multiple platforms and devices, our platform empowers teams to foster deeper, more meaningful relationships with our players. The EADP is the foundation on which EA’s games are built. By providing reusable capabilities that game teams can easily integrate into their games, we allow them to focus on making incredible games. These building blocks are made up of high-level service platforms including Cloud, Commerce, Data and AI, Gameplay Services, Identity and Social.As a software engineer intern, you will get hands-on experience working on one of the world's largest gaming platforms to help build incredible games. You will also get the opportunity to work alongside top developers, gaining essential knowledge on how to design a scalable and high-performance software platform.Location - Hyderabad
Responsibilities
Work with Product Managers, senior engineers and peers to understand requirements, prototypes & build large scale distributed applicationsBuild & deploy new microservices & enhance feature set of existing micro servicesHave a keen eye on code quality, testability, maintainability & automated test coverageAnalyze and troubleshoot cloud native applications relating to performance & scaleImplement Observability, metrics, traces and telemetry for features to gauge successBe able to prototype new technology that fits use cases/problems and validate against success criteriaCommunicate and coordinate with teams across various geographiesCommunicate progress & issues in daily stand-upsQualification
Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer/software engineering, Computer Science or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education.A solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms, design patterns, CI/CD processes, and data structures.Expertise in object-oriented design/programming, programming expertise in either Java, Scala or related programming languagesStrong problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of Databases - SQL & NoSQLFamiliar with Cloud & Cloud Native technologiesExperience with DevOps tools such as DockerGood foundation around building large scale, low latency distributed systemsExperience with source control management tools (e.g., Perforce, Git).About Electronic Arts
