Software Engineer in Test

What you bring

You have experience working in a Buy/Sell-Side EMS (Execution Management System) or OMS (Order Management System). You understand front office domain along with trade life cycle, basic asset classes, Portfolio Management System and Order Management System. You have hands-on experience in testing on front office trading applications. You have knowledge about FIX. You demonstrate the ability to work independently on all aspects of the testing lifecycle, with minimal handholding from Manager. You are good at the art of questioning and critical thinking.

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for testing an order management system through a mix of manual and automated testing. This includes regression testing existing functionality as well as testing new features. You will also help maintain and add to API/automated scripts. Eventually you will also add value to the development team by developing a deep understanding of the product and how new features could affect all parts of the application, including different configurations. You will be working with teammates in India and the US to test the company product.

Requirements

• An interest in the trading industry and knowledge of financial/trading concepts (security types, order types, order marking, etc.)
• Good knowledge of a programming language (C++, Java, Python)
• Investment Banking or Wealth Management testing experience
• Understanding of Front office domain along with trade life cycle, basic asset classes, Portfolio Management system and Order Management system
• Experience of working in an agile environment
• Hands on experience on JIRA Tool
• Good experience on Unix
• Good at art of questioning and critical thinking
• Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes, and tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivation and self-determination to learn and grow.
• Self-starter that requires little guidance
• Well organized work habits with attention to detail.
• Bachelor's Degree in Technology or higher.

Preferred/Advantage if you

• Have an experience of creating and managing automation frameworks
• Have hands-on experience in technical areas SQL Queries, VBA, Macros will be advantage
• Have an experience working in a Buy/Sell-Side EMS (Execution Management System) or OMS (Order Management System).
• Have knowledge/hands-on with Performance Testing
