Software Engineer in Test

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Leadership

? Architect and scale cross-platform automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Playwright).

? Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

? Maintain modular, reusable test components and ensure version control.

? Automate API testing using RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.

? Build automated test dashboards for regression & stability reports.

2. AI-Driven Testing

? Explore and deploy AI test generation tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl, or in-house LLM-based bots).

? Integrate predictive test selection based on code impact and risk analysis.

? Implement AI-based anomaly and UI change detection to reduce manual checks.

? Collaborate with R&D to build intelligent test agents that run in staging.

3. Quality Governance

? Define and track QA KPIs (defect escape rate, automation coverage, release readiness).

? Lead release quality gates and sign-off reviews.

? Maintain comprehensive test documentation, regression libraries, and edge-case catalogs.

? Implement Quality Guardian model dedicated QA per module for early testing.

4. Leadership & Mentorship

? Build, mentor, and scale a world-class QA team.

? Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to shift-left testing.

? Champion innovation, AI tooling, and automation-first thinking in every sprint. Required Skills & Experience

? 710 years in QA, with 2+ years leading automation or QA teams.

? Proven hands-on experience in mobile automation (Android + iOS).

? Strong knowledge of API testing, scripting (Python, Kotlin, Swift, JS), and CI/CD.

? Exposure to AI-driven QA tools and frameworks.

? Understanding of Agile, BDD/TDD, and test design techniques.

? Experience with cloud-based device farms (BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Firebase Test Lab)

Preferred (Bonus)

? Fintech / UPI / digital payments testing experience.

? Familiarity with AppSealing runtime checks and security validations.

? Performance testing (JMeter, k6) and crash analytics (New Relic, Firebase).

? Prior exposure to AI copilots for QA or intelligent test dashboards.
