What You’ll Do
- FactSet is seeking a software engineer with proficiency in Python to work on Private Markets Content Pipelines with high scalability, performance, resilience, and cost effectiveness.
- Ownership of end-to-end product development & deployment deliverables.
- Contribute to multiple engineering business functions.
- Ensure delivering high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code, and perform Unit / Integration Testing of assigned tasks within the estimated timelines.
- Influence Content Collection Pipeline design and innovation
- Keep up to date with the new standards and practices.
- Strategically explore open-source opportunities to improve our workflows.
- Collaborate with Content stakeholders to understand and prioritize their requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Agile Methodology by working with the scrum master and product owner.
Required
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working professionally as a Data/Software Engineer.
- Professional Experience with Python, SQL, and Cloud Native Development - Preferably AWS.
- Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases (Columns, Documents, Key-Value).
- Experience in building data pipelines with an understanding of CICD methodologies.
- Organized, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to appropriately prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion to provide value by enabling other developers.
Desired
- Experience with Jupyter Notebooks is a plus.
- Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or Agile software development in general.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Ability to articulate and quickly adopt development best practices.
- Ability to work as part of a geographically diverse team.
