Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s FastConnect team delivers private, high-bandwidth connectivity that underpins our customers’ most critical workloads. We are seeking a Senior Network Development Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team, driving the design, automation, and reliable operation of FastConnect’s global edge, partner interconnects, and customer connectivity platforms. The role will be leading a team of network development engineers in a fast-paced environment that requires agility and the drive to deliver. The candidate should be comfortable with building complex distributed systems involving the management and control of hundreds of thousands of network devices. You will own strategy and execution for scalable network architecture, automation-first operations, and service reliability—partnering with Product, Engineering, Security to deliver secure, compliant, and cost-efficient services at cloud scale.

- Build, lead, and mentor a diverse Network Development team; set technical direction and establish best practices.
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, be results-driven, and thrive even when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Be a team player, someone who is eager to learn, and willing to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed.
- Collaborate/Partner with Network Engineering, Network Automation, Network Monitoring, and Operations teams.
- Champion operational excellence: change management discipline, documentation/run-books, readiness reviews, and network operations
- Represent FastConnect with customers and partners; translate requirements into deliverable roadmaps and provide clear executive-level updates.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Network/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in large-scale network engineering; 4+ years people management experience.
- Experience with SDN architectures and customer connectivity at scale; platforms such as Juniper/Cisco/Arista.
- Expertise in L2/L3: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS/Segment Routing, QoS, Traffic Engineering is a plus.
- Experience with network automation/NetDevOps: Python or Go, APIs/gNMI/OpenConfig, Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD, config systems, telemetry/observability
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Proven ownership of reliability and operations: change/incident/problem management, capacity planning, performance/SLA management, on-call coordination
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management with internal teams and external partners/customers
