We are building the underlying infrastructure that delivers personalized experiences to hundreds of millions of customers globally. If you watch shows on Prime Video, own an Alexa Echo device, or access any number of other Amazon services that utilize profiles, it’s highly likely that you use the technology that our team delivers. As a member of the Identity team, you will take the Amazon Family experience to next level. You will help Amazon to enhance customer experience for Amazon Family users by reducing Amazon customer's cognitive load in managing members in their Amazon Family at the same time providing them value added services. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. You are expected to be a hands-on technical manager who understands and sets a high bar for all parts of the software development and deployment life-cycle including: design, development, documentation, testing and operations. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. Basic Qualifications 7+ years of engineering experience 3+ years of engineering team management experience 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
