Role Summary

QA Automation Engineer

Microservices testing (REST & GraphQL APIs), Cypress Automation, and CI/CD integration

Key Responsibilities

• Perform automation testing for Microservices (REST & GQL APIs) including service integration and end-to-end validation.
• Design, create, and maintain stubs/mocks within services for integration testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub workflows, ArgoCD).
• Develop and execute Cypress test automation using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Design and implement BDD/Cucumber-based automation for functional and API testing.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for test data validation.
• Perform API testing, functional testing, and automation of web applications and backend services.
• Work in Agile/Scrum methodology collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, and other QA engineers.
• Use monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana) for system health and test monitoring.
• Work with Kafka messaging, Kubernetes, Docker, and WireMock for end-to-end validation of microservices.
• Develop automation in Golang using the Godog framework where required.
• Manage test databases and queries using PgAdmin.
  

Primary Skills

• Automation of Microservices (REST & GraphQL APIs) including integration testing.
• Cypress Automation with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• BDD/Cucumber test development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for test data verification.
• Hands-on with source control tools (GitHub, GitOps/ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with Dynatrace & Grafana for monitoring.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, WireMock.
• Golang programming with Godog framework.
• Experience working with PgAdmin DB.
