Job Title: Software Deployment & Configuration Engineer – Robotics Department: Robotics & Production Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Software Deployment & Configuration Engineer to take ownership of deploying software on robotic systems across our production line. This role is critical in ensuring that each robot runs the correct software version with the right configurations, optimized for performance. You will work closely with the robotics R&D and production teams to support seamless integration, version control, and on-site parameter tuning during deployment. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the end-to-end software installation process on AMR robotic platforms. Maintain an accurate record of software versions and configurations deployed to each robot unit. Coordinate with the robotics engineering team to validate and roll out new builds. Fine-tune parameters (e.g., navigation, motor control, perception settings) during deployment to adapt to production needs. Support the production team during bring-up, calibration, and field testing of robots. Troubleshoot installation or configuration issues on live robots in a fast-paced environment. Create and maintain deployment guides, version logs, rollback procedures, and configuration documentation. Ensure software deployment follows internal compliance, versioning, and quality assurance standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in software deployment, configuration management, or DevOps roles, preferably in the robotics domain. Hands-on experience working with ROS2. Familiarity with robot hardware interfaces and system bring-up processes. Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems, networking, and command-line tools. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment tools. Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially with engineering and production teams. Nice to Have: Experience with AMRs, AGVs, or robotic arms in industrial settings. Understanding of sensor calibration, motor tuning, or SLAM/localization configuration. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and scripting.
