Your role will include content planning, posting, audience engagement, analytics tracking, and assisting the editorial team with viral and trending content ideas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Publishing

• Draft engaging captions, posts, reels, and stories for all social platforms
• Assist in creating short-form content (Reels/Shorts) based on trending news
• Collaborate with the video & editorial teams for daily content calendar
• Maintain consistency in tone, branding, messaging across platforms

2. Audience Engagement

• Respond to comments, messages, and audience interactions in a professional way
• Actively participate in community building and audience retention
• Handle live updates during breaking news

3. Trend Monitoring & Research

• Track trending hashtags, topics, and viral formats
• Suggest content ideas that match current news cycles
• Keep an eye on competitor pages and industry trends

4. Social Media Analytics

• Monitor daily insights such as reach, engagement, impressions & follower growth
• Prepare weekly performance reports
• Suggest optimisation strategies to improve page growth

5. Branding & Growth Support

• Ensure all posts follow brand guidelines
• Assist in running social media campaigns, collaborations, or influencer tie-ups
• Work closely with marketing/editorial for special projects

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Instagram, X, YouTube & digital content trends
• Good command over English/Hindi writing (news tone preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Canva/CapCut or similar editing tools (preferred, not mandatory)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment
• Creative thinking with attention to detail
• Solid interest in news, politics, current affairs, and digital storytelling

Eligibility

• Students or recent graduates in Journalism, Mass Communication, Digital Marketing, or related fields
• Freshers with strong interest in social media/news may also apply
