Role Overview

Social Media Growth Manager


Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Creation:

    Conceptualize, script, film, and edit high-performance short-form video content (3-5 posts per week).
  • Algorithmic Growth:

    Optimize content specifically for the "Big 3" algorithms (TikTok, Shorts, Reels) to maximize retention and shareability.
  • Data-Driven Iteration:

    Analyze watch time, click-through rates, and audience retention to understand what works and pivot strategies quickly.
  • Trendjacking:

    Stay on top of emerging sounds, memes, and formats to adapt them to the Sccoop Up brand before they peak.
  • Community Management:

    spark conversations in the comments and engage with followers to convert passive viewers into a loyal community.
  • Cross-Platform Optimization:

    Repurpose and tailor content effectively across platforms (e.g., tweaking captions/thumbnails for YouTube vs. TikTok).
  • Collaboration:

    Work with internal teams to turn company updates or niche topics into entertaining, consumer-facing content.


Requrirements

  • Proven Growth Experience:

    Demonstrated ability to grow social accounts from scratch or significantly increase engagement (Portfolio/Links required).
  • Video Editing Proficiency:

    Expert speed in mobile editing (CapCut) or desktop software (Premiere Pro/DaVinci) with a focus on pacing and retention.
  • Algorithm Fluency:

    Strong understanding of how social algorithms work (hooks, watch time, loop rates) and how to manipulate them.
  • Visual Storytelling:

    Ability to tell a compelling story in under 60 seconds.
  • Self-Starter:

    Ability to work autonomously, experiment with new formats, and iterate based on real-time feedback.



Nice-to-Have

  • On-Camera Comfort:

    Comfortable being the "face" of the brand or voiceover talent when needed.
  • YouTube SEO:

    Knowledge of keyword research, title optimization, and thumbnail psychology for YouTube growth.
  • Graphic Design:

    Basic skills in Canva or Photoshop for static posts, stories, and thumbnails.
  • Monetization Knowledge:

    Understanding of creator funds, brand deal structures, or driving traffic to conversion points.
