Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Content Creation and Management

● Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the university’s objectives

● Create engaging, platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn,

and YouTube

● Ensure all content is culturally relevant and informative, highlighting university events

and achievements

Audience Engagement

● Interact with students, faculty, and the public across social media platforms

● Address enquiries and feedback efficiently and appropriately

● Foster a positive and inclusive online community around the university’s brand

Analytics and Reporting

● Monitor social media performance using analytics tools

● Analyse data regularly to improve engagement, reach, and content effectiveness

Brand and Reputation Management

● Uphold and enhance the university’s online reputation

● Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms

● Actively engage in online conversations related to the university

Campaign and Event Promotion

● Develop and execute social media campaigns for university events and initiatives

● Collaborate with various departments to ensure unified promotional strategies

Trend Awareness

● Stay updated with the latest social media trends and best practices

● Adapt strategies to incorporate new technologies and platform features

Collaboration and Coordination

● Coordinate with departments such as Admissions, Alumni Relations, and Public

Relations

Work with external agencies on specialised campaigns and activations

Online Reputation Management (ORM)

● Monitor platforms such as Google My Business, Quora, and other public forums

● Ensure timely, brand-aligned responses to queries, reviews, and concerns

● Coordinate with internal stakeholders for content drafting, approvals, and publishing

● Maintain a consistent and appropriate tone of voice across platforms

● Apply ORM best practices to protect and enhance the university’s reputation

● Respond with accuracy and sensitivity, maintaining professional standards at all times

Skills & Qualifications required

● Creative and strategic thinking

● Strong writing and editing skills plus english language proficiency

● Good organisational and time-management abilities

● Familiarity with graphic design principles and video editing is a plus

● Familiarity with and a zeal to learn AI tools

● Strong understanding of Indian and pop culture, as well as the evolving social media

landscape, & Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics
1. Keyword Strategy & Content Optimization

Identify, track, and prioritize high-intent search queries (e.g., "best CBSE school in

Bangalore," "project-based learning schools").

Build and execute a core SEO plan for assigned web properties, aligning with Ekya’s

"World Beyond Boundaries" brand ethos.

Collaborate with content teams to develop optimized articles, blogs, and landing pages

(e.g., "How Ekya’s Design Thinking Curriculum Prepares Future Leaders").

2. Technical SEO & Website Performance

Audit and improve technical SEO elements:

Page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data.

Interlinking, backlinking, and nofollow tag management.

Work with developers to enhance UX (e.g., faster media playback, intuitive navigation).

3. Multi-Platform Optimization

Ensure SEO best practices across:

Google My Business: Optimized descriptions, visual assets (correct aspect ratios).

Third-party listings (SchoolMyKids, EducationWorld).

YouTube/Videos: Keyword-rich descriptions, transcripts, and thumbnails.

4. Data-Driven Reporting

Track KPIs using Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush/Ahrefs:

MoM organic traffic growth.

Keyword rankings (e.g., "Ekya vs. Oakridge").

Bounce rate reduction and backlink acquisition.

5. Collaboration & Compliance

Partner with design teams to ensure visuals adhere to brand guidelines. Review

PR/articles to secure do follow backlinks from authoritative sites.

Requirements

Experience: 1–3 years in SEO/content marketing, preferably in education or edtech.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Google Analytics, Search Console, Looker Studio.

Hands-on experience with SEMRush, Ahrefs, or SERanking.

Basic HTML/CSS understanding (for developer collaboration).

Soft Skills:

Ability to manage multiple web properties simultaneously.

Strong communication to align with content/design teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with local SEO for school admissions.

Experience optimizing long-form content (e.g., curriculum pages, parent testimonials).

Knowledge of voice search optimization (e.g., "Hey Google, best ICSE schools near

me").

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
