Role Summary: Seeking a strategic and innovative Social Media Manager to drive our social media initiatives in a news-focused environment. The role requires expertise in amplifying breaking news, engaging audiences, and growing platform traffic through creative and data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with editorial and business goals.
Manage content creation, scheduling, and optimization across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Foster audience engagement through active interactions and timely responses.
Plan and implement social media campaigns to expand audience reach and website traffic.
Track, analyze, and report social media performance, offering actionable insights.
Stay updated on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
Proven experience in social media management, ideally in news/media organizations.
Proficiency in social media and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics).
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
English and Hindi is a must

Preferred Skills:

Experience with video creation, live streaming, SEO, and paid social media strategies.
Ability to design creatives using tools like Photoshop/Canva.
Knowledge of live-streaming software like OBS/Vmix.
Strong interest and understanding of regional and national news.
