Social Media Content Creator

We are looking for a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Content Advisor to support the NPD team with content ideation and insights, creator intelligence, and platform-first storytelling. This role will help us identify early trends, build strong social narratives for new launches and existing best sellers, and create organic content frameworks that shape our product development and go-to-market strategies.

This is a hands-on role for someone who lives on Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, and beauty/fashion creator spaces — and can translate trends into actionable ideas for product concepts, packaging, communication, and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trend Tracking & Insights

• Track daily trends across Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, ongoing conversations on Reddit and emerging platforms.
• Build weekly “trend intelligence” updates for NPD (formats, sounds, creators, viral aesthetics, beauty/makeup movements).
• Identify high-potential trends we can ladder into product concepts or claims.

2. Content Strategy for NPD

• Support concept creation with content-first ideas (hooks, content angles, visual storytelling).
• Recommend content formats for every NPD brief – swatch formats, tutorial structures, POVs, aesthetic directions, etc.
• Give input on packaging, naming, and claims based on what works on social media.

3. Creator & Competitor Intelligence

• Track competitor launches, creator reviews, and viral products within beauty and skincare.
• Map relevant creators for future collaborations with insights on tone, style, and performance.

4. Social-First GTM Support

• Create launch content playbooks for each new product – key shots, trending sounds, formats, hooks.
• Partner with NPD + brand teams to ensure every launch has a strong social media footprint from day 1.
• Content Production Support (Optional/Bonus)
• Ability to shoot quick content on phone (swatches, textures, GRWM, ASMR, transitions).
• Work with creators/agencies to execute content as per the NPD direction.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 1–4 years of experience in social media, content strategy, creator management, or digital-first beauty/fashion brands/agencies.
2. Strong understanding of Reddit/Instagram culture, viral beauty formats, and Gen Z communication.
3. Eye for aesthetics, product storytelling, and visual trends.
4. Ability to break down trends into actionable insights for NPD.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
6. Bonus: experience in short-form content creation (basic editing, shooting, transitions).
