SME - Subsea Controls

Interested candidates, kindly mail to enpcareers.hr@ril.com Main Purpose: Subject Matter Expert (SME) Subsea Controls responsible to support engineering, project execution, and operational phases of subsea deepwater developments. The SME will provide expert guidance on the selection, design, specification, integration, testing, and operation of subsea control systems. Job Accountabilities : Conceptualization & Framing of Scope of Work Framing of Scope of Work & Specifications for subsea control system based on selected development concept. Participation in Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering and Execution of deepwater projects. Provide expert technical input on Subsea Control Systems including MCS, EPU, HPU, SCM, fields sensors, subsea controls distribution, communications protocols, etc. Review subsea proposals, assist in bid evaluations and finalize the Subsea Control System (SCS). Supervision and management of subsea contactor teams. Review and approve vendor technical documentation and engineering deliverables. Support detailed engineering phases with best practices, standards, and technology recommendations. Assist in interface management between topsides, subsea hardware and control systems. Participate in FAT, EFAT, SIT, and Qualification testing programs, as required. Lead technical risk assessments and support HAZOP/HAZID/Design Reviews. Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis during project execution or operations. Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to young engineers & sub-ordinates. Undertake root cause analysis for failures and recommend corrective actions. Support critical issues / decisions during the projects and operations phases. Skills Required: Knowledge of selection, design, engineering, manufacturing, testing & installation of subsea control equipment for deepwater projects. Familiarity with design codes & standards relevant to subsea & offshore. Knowledge about the latest subsea developments, digital oilfield technologies and subsea data analytics. In-depth knowledge of subsea controls architecture, subsea control system, instrumentation, and offshore industry standards (API 17F, ISO 13628 series, etc.). Analytical, Interpersonal, Team player & Communication Skills Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, or equivalent) from a recognized University. Experience: Candidate should have overall experience of at least 20 years in the Oil and Gas industry with a minimum of 15 years of experience in subsea deep-water & offshore projects. Candidate should have worked on Concept, FEED, detailed engineering and execution of deepwater subsea control system for at least two projects in Oil and Gas industry.
