Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Development Engineer at the Country Purchase division, your mission is to improve supplier performance through continuous improvement activities, audits, and assessments in collaboration with other functions. You will lead and facilitate the development of assigned suppliers during both development and production phases. Additionally, you will train and mentor new PSQEs and SQDEs. **Responsibilities & Activities:** - Lead and facilitate supplier development to meet PO Automotive Systems Requirements Manuals for enhanced quality, cost, and delivery performance. - Conduct Quality and Process Supplier Evaluation for all suppliers and Supplier Onsite Process Approval as needed. - Ensure timely approval of PPAP per project requirements. - Manage Supplier rating system in coordination with Purchasing Department and perform monthly reporting of Supplier PPM Scores. - Lead Supplier Quality Management Reviews at division level and support at plant level. - Manage Level II Containment Procedures and oversee implementation. During the product production phase, you will: - Transfer responsibilities from Supplier Quality Development to Plant Supplier Quality at the beginning of each program production phase. - Monitor Supplier Performance Quality Rating monthly and schedule follow-up audits for assigned suppliers. - Champion supplier PPM reductions and lead Supplier Improvement Audits until closure of actions. - Train and mentor Plant Supplier Quality Engineers. **Other responsibilities include:** - Training and mentoring Supplier Quality Engineers. - Leading/supporting New Projects for Supplier Quality. - Facilitating continuous improvement activities at suppliers. - Maintaining quality document records per supplier. - Supporting internal customers with supplier issues. **Profile Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Technical field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality, Process Engineering, and Supplier Quality. - Experience in APQP and PPAP. - Strong coaching, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. - Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office. - Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and travel as required. In this role, you will report to the Country Purchase Manager and interact with internal stakeholders such as Suppliers, Program Core team, Plant Quality, and SQDE. External interfaces include Equipment & service suppliers. Your performance will be measured based on Key Indicators such as Supplier Scorecard (Quality), PPAP Approval On-time, Quality SNCR Closure, and Supplier Request for Change Approval.
