Charging Infrastructure Commissioning Engineer

Location: Krishnagiri, Ulundurpet, Bangalore

Role Overview

We are looking for a Charging Infrastructure Commissioning Engineer who can take full ownership of on-ground execution of EV charging projects. The role demands technical expertise in electrical and civil works, ability to coordinate with multiple agencies, and a hands-on approach to setting up charging hubs under aggressive timelines.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSite Finalization & Preparation
• Conduct site surveys, technical feasibility studies, and load assessments.
• Support in negotiations with hotels, landowners, and commercial establishments for space allocation.
• Ensure proper site layouts for transformer placement, power infra, and canopy structures.
• Regulatory & Utility Coordination
• Liaise with DISCOMs for power approvals, load sanctions, and meter installations.
• Supervise transformer installation, panel boards, cabling, earthing, and related works.
• Civil & Electrical Execution
• Supervise civil works: foundation, canopy erection, cabling trenches, fencing, and signage.
• Oversee electrical works: transformer, distribution panel, cabling, and charger connections.
• Ensure safety protocols, standards, and quality compliance at site.
• Contractor & Vendor Handling
• Manage daily coordination with contractors and site teams.
• Verify material deliveries, BOQs, and site progress.
• Monitor contractor work schedules and resolve site-level challenges quickly.
• Project Delivery & Commissioning
• Work with OEMs for charger installation, integration, and testing.
• Ensure all power, network, and safety systems are live before handover.
• Prepare technical reports, site commissioning documents, and as-built drawings.
• Desired Candidate ProfileEducation: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 2–6 years in EPC projects, power distribution, renewable energy, or EV infra projects.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of transformers, LT panels, earthing, and electrical safety standards.
• Hands-on project execution and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, DISCOM engineers, and vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a “can-do” attitude to deliver on aggressive timelines.
• Readiness to travel extensively and manage multiple sites.
