A Site Accountant who manages the financial records and processes at a construction or infrastructure project site. This includes maintaining books of accounts, verifying invoices, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. They often work closely with project managers and other site personnel. Key Responsibilities: Maintaining Financial Records: Keeping accurate records of all transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments. Invoice Processing: Verifying and managing sales and purchase invoices. Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, including TDS and GST returns. Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for project managers. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting Planning Officer in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for the project. Cash Management: Managing petty cash and negotiating payment methods. Vendor Management: Maintaining vendor information, KYC documents, and work orders. Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, contractors, and other site personnel to ensure seamless project execution. Required Skills and Knowledge: Accounting Principles: Understanding of general accounting principles and practices. Accounting Software: Proficiency in using accounting software Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports. Tax Regulations: Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations, such as TDS and GST. MS Office: Proficiency in using MS Office applications, such as Excel. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve financial issues. Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining accurate financial records. Experience in Construction or Infrastructure: Experience working in a construction or infrastructure environment is often preferred.
