Site Accountant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing and monitoring all financial activities at the project or site level. This includes ensuring accurate record-keeping, cost control, budget tracking, and timely reporting to support smooth project execution. Your role will involve coordinating closely with project managers, procurement teams, and the head office to maintain financial transparency and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate site-level accounting records and documentation. - Monitor daily expenses and ensure they align with the project budget. - Handle petty cash management and daily cash flow reporting. - Assist in preparing project cost reports, budget forecasts, and variance analysis. - Reconcile site accounts, vendor statements, and bank transactions. - Verify and record labor wages, subcontractor bills, and material consumption. - Maintain coordination between site staff, procurement department, and head office accounts team. - Ensure timely submission of financial reports and compliance with company policies. - Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. - Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel). Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Proven experience as a Site Accountant or similar role. - Strong understanding of financial principles and practices. - Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel. - Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
