Job Description

We are looking for a skilled IVR Developer with hands-on experience using Sinch's Voice API to design, implement, and maintain advanced, scalable, and reliable voice applications. You will be responsible for building programmable IVR solutions, integrating Sinch APIs into workflows, and ensuring high-quality voice experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom IVR call flows using Sinch and Intelliquent (Voice API, SVAML, and related SDKs).
  • Design, build, and deploy voice call handling systems that support DTMF input, speech recognition, and routing logic.
  • Integrate backend systems (e.g., API, databases) with IVR workflows via webhooks and APIs.
  • Use text-to-speech (TTS) and recorded prompts to craft dynamic customer experiences.
  • Build and manage inbound and outbound voice.
  • Monitor and optimize call performance, latency, and reliability.
  • Implement error handling, retry logic, and logging to ensure production reliability.
  • Support deployment on AWS cloud and Sinch platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and DevOps.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 24+ years of experience in IVR development or voice platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Sinch and Intelliquent.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Sinch Voice API, SVAML, or similar voice APIs (e.g., AWS Connect, Twilio Studio).
  • Strong backend development skills using Node.js and SQL (experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Experience with AWS Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, especially AWS CDK, and a strong working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, Kinesis Streams, S3, CloudFront and DMS.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks and serverless functions.
  • Familiarity with DTMF, TTS and ASR (automatic speech recognition) technologies.
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML and scripting markup languages.
  • Strong debugging and monitoring skills using logs, dashboards, and voice analytics tools.
  • Awareness of security and compliance standards such as HIPAA
  • Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with C#.NET is a plus.
  • Knowledge of telephony fundamentals including call routing, SIP/VoIP protocols, and voice infrastructure concepts is a plus.
