Position Overview:
Parrot Media is seeking a talented Shopify Developer with experience in developing high-quality, fully customized e-commerce websites. As a Shopify Developer, you will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into fully functional, responsive Shopify stores. The ideal candidate should have expertise in working with Shopify themes, integrating custom features, and experience with React for front-end development. We want someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about creating smooth user experiences, and loves to solve complex technical problems.

Responsibilities:

• Shopify Development:
• Develop and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce websites, ensuring they are fully optimized for performance, usability, and SEO.
• Customize Shopify themes, install and configure apps, and integrate with third-party tools as needed.
• Ensure that all Shopify stores are responsive, visually appealing, and function flawlessly across different devices and browsers.
• Figma to Shopify Translation:
• Work closely with the design team to transform Figma designs into pixel-perfect, functional Shopify stores.
• Ensure the exact match of designs, paying close attention to typography, colors, spacing, and overall user interface details.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team to ensure that the user experience is intuitive and seamless.
• React Development (Basic):
• Assist with minor React-based features on Shopify stores or other platforms as needed.
• Develop interactive front-end components and features using React, ensuring they work smoothly with Shopify’s architecture.
• Optimization & Maintenance:
• Perform regular site maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance improvements.
• Optimize page load times and ensure that stores are fully SEO-optimized.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard store data.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with designers, digital marketers, and project managers to ensure alignment between design, development, and marketing goals.
• Regularly update and report on project progress, timelines, and roadblocks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Shopify Expertise:
• Proven experience developing Shopify stores and customizing Shopify themes.
• Strong knowledge of Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (particularly for Shopify theme development).
• Experience with Shopify's admin panel, apps, and integrations.
• Figma to Shopify:
• Proven ability to convert Figma designs into fully functioning websites while maintaining visual fidelity.
• Strong understanding of design systems and UI/UX principles.
• React (Basic):
• Experience working with React for building front-end components and integrating them with Shopify or other platforms.
• Familiarity with React hooks, state management, and component libraries.
• Front-End Development:
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end development frameworks.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Additional Skills:
• Familiar with SEO best practices for e-commerce.
• Experience with Shopify Plus, integrations, and apps is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of APIs and webhooks for Shopify integrations.
