Job Title: Shift Manager – QSR Ice Cream Restaurant

Job Summary

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth team coordination, food quality standards, hygiene compliance, and achievement of sales targets in a fast-paced ice cream QSR environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Customer Service

• Manage day-to-day outlet operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure prompt, friendly, and high-quality customer service
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively
• Maintain brand standards for product presentation and service

Team Management

• Supervise and guide crew members during shifts
• Allocate duties and ensure adequate staffing levels
• Train new team members on SOPs, hygiene, and customer handling
• Motivate staff to achieve performance and service goals

Sales & Cash Handling

• Ensure accurate billing and cash handling
• Monitor daily sales, upselling, and suggestive selling
• Control wastage and follow portion control standards
• Prepare shift-end reports and handovers

Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor inventory levels of ice cream, cones, toppings, and packaging
• Coordinate with the Store Manager for replenishment
• Ensure FIFO and proper storage practices

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, hygiene, and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, and storage areas
• Ensure proper handling of food and cold storage temperatures

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team-handling skills
• Customer-focused attitude
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10+2 / Diploma / Graduation (preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience in QSR, ice cream parlour, café, or food retail
• Prior experience as Shift In-Charge / Supervisor is an advantage

Salary & Benefits (can be customized)

• Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience)

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
