Title : ServiceNow L2 Developer

Shift : 3 PM to 11 PM

Location: Remote

Position Type: Full time


The ServiceNow L2 Developer is responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow applications to meet business and operational needs. This role involves customizing workflows, implementing integrations, and ensuring platform stability through ongoing support, testing, and optimization. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, practical experience in ServiceNow development, and a good understanding of ITSM processes.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Customize

  • Build, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications, modules, and services according to business requirements.
  • Implement custom UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and data policies.
  1. Create and Maintain

  • Design and manage workflows, SLAs, approval processes, and automated business logic.
  • Maintain platform configurations and ensure consistent adherence to best practices.
  1. Integrate Systems

  • Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, and other APIs.
  • Ensure data synchronization, security, and performance across connected platforms.
  1. Troubleshoot and Support

  • Provide L2-level technical support, resolving incidents and defects related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Perform regular system health checks, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  1. Collaborate

  • Work closely with process owners, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Participate in sprint reviews and agile ceremonies for continuous improvement.
  1. Document

  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Ensure all solutions are well-documented for operational continuity.
  1. Test and Validate

  • Conduct unit, functional, and regression testing to validate new functionality and upgrades.
  • Ensure platform reliability, performance, and compliance with organizational standards.


Qualifications and Skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities including Flow Designer, Service Catalog, CMDB, and IntegrationHub.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining API integrations (REST, SOAP).
  • Understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, scripting, and best practices.

Process Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Exposure to ITOM, HRSD, or other ServiceNow modules is an advantage.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or related certifications.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
