Service Engineer

Job Summary:The Service Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment at client sites. The role involves providing technical support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining service quality standards. Key Responsibilities:Installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment/machines. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults at customer sites. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per service schedules. Attend customer service calls and provide timely resolutions. Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment usage and safety. Maintain service reports, documentation, and feedback records. Coordinate with production, R&D, and sales teams for product improvements and customer requirements. Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies while working onsite. Train operators and maintenance staff of customers for basic operation and handling. Support in warranty claims, spare part replacement, and after-sales service. Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, and control panels. Hands-on experience with testing tools, measuring instruments, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Good communication and customer-handling skills. Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking. Willingness to travel frequently for onsite service support. Ability to work independently and in a team. Qualification & Experience:Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering. 1–5 years of experience in service engineering, preferably in electrical/electronic equipment. Freshers with strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn may also be considered. Work Environment:Field-based role with frequent travel to customer sites. Requires hands-on work with electrical machines, panels, and systems. May involve extended working hours during equipment breakdowns or urgent service calls.
