Role Title

SEO Intern (Search Engine Optimization Intern)

— On-site, India

About The Opportunity

Join a performance-focused SEO team to support campaigns that improve organic visibility, drive qualified traffic, and increase conversions for clients across multiple industries. You will learn end-to-end SEO workflow—research, on-page optimisation, technical audits, content recommendations, and measuring impact with industry tools.Role & Responsibilities
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive SERP analysis to identify content and ranking opportunities.
  • Implement on-page SEO: optimize meta tags, headings, internal linking, and content for target keywords.
  • Perform technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog/other tools and document actionable fixes (crawlability, indexing, and site speed).
  • Support link-building outreach and local SEO initiatives to strengthen domain authority and referral traffic.
  • Track performance using Google Analytics and Search Console; prepare weekly/monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with content writers and developers to implement SEO changes on CMS (WordPress) and QA deployments.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Pursuing or completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or related field with strong interest in SEO.
  • Familiarity with keyword research, on-page optimisation, and basic technical SEO concepts.
  • Hands-on with Google Analytics and Google Search Console; comfortable reading reports and extracting insights.
  • Experience using at least one SEO tool (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog) and basic Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Good written English, attention to detail, and ability to document findings clearly.

Preferred

  • Experience updating content on WordPress or other CMS and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Prior internship or coursework involving content optimisation, link outreach, or local SEO.
