Job Description

Senior US Accounting Specialist

Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Senior US Accounting Specialist to manage end-to-end U.S. accounting operations. This role is critical in supporting our U.S. finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process weekly timesheets & client invoices
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll/accounting data
  • Prepare regular & ad-hoc reports in QuickBooks
  • Manage and reconcile AP/AR accounts
  • Assist with GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Support financial statement preparation in line with U.S. GAAP
  • Track/manage PO expirations & related documentation
  • Maintain master data for employees, customers, and vendors
  • Liaise with state agencies for payroll, unemployment, and tax matters


Requirements

  • ✅ 5+ years of U.S. accounting/bookkeeping experience (staffing/consulting preferred)
  • ✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • ✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • ✅ Experience in payroll, AP/AR, and expense management
  • ✅ QuickBooks proficiency (mandatory)
  • ✅ Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations)
  • ✅ Excellent communication & attention to detail
