Qualifications

• Postgraduate in Structural Engineering
• Professional Structure Engineering certified by the authorities concerned.
  

Overall Professional Experience

• At least 20 years of experience.
• Have Good command in English
• Experience in planning or designing for a hospital building larger than 150 beds.
  

Role & Responsibilities

Assignment of Tasks

• Site Condition Analysis and Review
  

Collaborate with the Facility Team Leader to assess the physical conditions of the proposed sites, focusing on geological and topological characteristics.
Conduct and oversee the implementation and review of soil conditions and topographic surveys at all identified project locations.

• Regulatory and Standards Integration
  

Support the Facility Team Leader in reviewing applicable national and local decrees, engineering regulations, and design standards.
Integrate regulatory and standard requirements into the design process to ensure full compliance with statutory and best-practice obligations.

• Structural Design Leadership
  

Lead the preparation of structural detailed design drawings, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
Finalize design deliverables in coordination with architectural and MEP teams to produce integrated and harmonized building plans.

• Tender Documentation and Technical Specifications
  

Assist the Tender Document Specialist in drafting and finalizing the technical sections of the tender documents.
Provide technical specifications related to structural systems, materials, and construction methods.

• Bill of Quantities (B/Q) and Cost Estimation
  

Collaborate with the Cost Management Engineer and Quantity Surveyors to quantify material and labor requirements for structural elements.
Contribute to the preparation of Bills of Quantities (B/Q) and assist in project cost estimation.

• Construction Oversight and Compliance Monitoring
  

Participate in construction site inspections to verify that structural work aligns with design intent and contract documents.Work with the Construction Supervision Specialist to identify, report, and resolve deviations or deficiencies in structural work.

Reporting And Coordination

The Senior Structural Engineer reports directly to the Team Leader/Dy. Team Leader and coordinates with all relevant stakeholders, including architects, engineers, surveyors, and site supervisors. The role requires active participation across all project stages, from planning through post-construction assessment.
