Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Steward is responsible for supervising stewards, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and supporting smooth daily restaurant operations. The role acts as a bridge between management and service staff.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and guide stewards during service hours
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and presentation standards
Assist in welcoming and serving guests professionally
Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback politely
Train new stewards on service procedures and hygiene standards
Coordinate with kitchen and bar for smooth service flow
Monitor stock of service items (cutlery, crockery, linen)
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and service standards
Support supervisors and managers during peak operations
Ensure closing and opening duties are completed properly

Skills & Requirements

Strong knowledge of food & beverage service procedures
Good communication and leadership skills
Ability to handle guests and resolve issues calmly
Team management and multitasking abilities
Basic knowledge of POS systems (preferred)
Physically fit and well-groomed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2–4 years of experience as Steward / Waiter in hospitality
Prior supervisory experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
