Currently House of Shipping is recruiting for a Senior Specialist - SAP FI to join our team.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior SAP FI Functional Specialist to lead and support Finance-related activities within our SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving full-cycle SAP FI implementations, providing hands-on support, and partnering with stakeholders to continuously enhance finance processes through digital transformation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

End-to-End Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, testing, and go-live phases of SAP FI modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking, etc.) in S/4HANA environments

•Ongoing Support & Optimization: Provide second and third-level support for SAP FI, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvements

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to gather requirements and design scalable finance solutions

• Integration & Reporting: Collaborate with CO, TM and other modules for integrated processes; support embedded analytics and financial reporting initiatives

• Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior team members and lead knowledge-sharing sessions with business users

• Documentation & Governance: Maintain high-quality documentation of configuration, process flows, and change management protocols

• Shipping-Specific Process Enablement

Configure and support SAP FI functionalities aligned with industry-specific requirements, such as revenue recognition for vessel chartering, port disbursement accounting, and bunker cost allocation.

• Implementation Leadership

Lead SAP S/4HANA rollout activities for FI across different shipping entities, ensuring accurate mapping of business processes like voyage cost control, intercompany settlements, and treasury integration.

Background and experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FI module, including at least 2 end-to-end implementations (preferably S/4HANA)
• Strong cross-functional understanding of integration with CO, MM, SD, and asset management processes
• Proficiency in SAP configuration, testing, and end-user support
