Senior Software Engineer

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 1500000 (ie INR 10-15 LPA)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce coding standards, design principles, and engineering best practices
• Drive execution within Agile PODs, ensuring clear task ownership and timely delivery
• Collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to translate functional and technical designs into actionable development tasks
• Lead planning, development, testing, and deployment activities within assigned PODs
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement automation to improve engineering efficiency
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code across the application stack
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in software development
• Strong expertise in Java and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.js
• Solid understanding of database technologies including MongoDB, SQL, and NoSQL databases
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and POD-based delivery models
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce, ad-tech, or digital media platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools
• Experience using Agile project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Exposure to engineering dashboards, metrics, and performance monitoring
