What you will do:

• Design, develop and deliver features, enhancements, fixes and cloud services for Teradata SQL Engine within AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
• Develop Python based services and automation used for provisioning, configuration and runtime operations of the SQL Engine in public cloud environments
• Build and maintain automated pipelines for creating and validating SQL Engine images
• Build end to end full automation for upgrade solutions across the entire Teradata product
• Debug issues, analyze performance behavior and resolve complex technical problems
• Participate in Scrum activities and collaborate with product owners, architects, developers and DevOps partners
• Support early customer engagements and contribute to full life cycle development from concept through release
• Ensure reliability and operational excellence for SQL Engine services across cloud platforms
• Maintain accurate documentation including test cases, design notes, code repositories and validation assets

Who you will work with:

You will be part of the SQL Engine Services team in the Vantage Core Platform Software organization. The team collaborates across multiple Scrum groups to build cloud ready capabilities that support SQL Engine on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. The team’s scope includes image creation, provisioning automation, runtime operations and on node services. The team is also expanding its responsibilities to deliver end to end full automation for upgrade solutions across the entire Teradata product, and you will directly contribute to this work. You will work in a fast paced engineering environment that values collaboration, innovation and technical excellence.

What makes you a qualified candidate:

• Strong programming experience in Python
• Proven experience developing and managing services in AWS / Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in building and maintaining REST based services with secure design practices
• Knowledge of Linux system administration
• Familiarity with C, bash and SQL
• Experience creating CI and CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub actions
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical abilities
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form
• Experience with DevOps automation tools
• Experience contributing to large scale automation work, including end to end full automation for upgrade solutions across the entire Teradata product
• Knowledge of Teradata Vantage is beneficial
