As a Senior Software Architect, you will lead the design, development, and scaling of full-stack applications in a dynamic, high-growth product environment. You will take ownership of end-to-end architecture decisions, ensuring that systems are robust, performant, and maintainable. This role involves both hands-on coding and strategic technical leadership, guiding engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into scalable software systems while mentoring engineers to strengthen technical capabilities. The position offers flexibility through remote work, with opportunities to engage across time zones and with global stakeholders. Accountabilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance software systems
- Develop and optimize front-end and back-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies
- Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases to support application requirements
- Create, document, and manage well-structured RESTful APIs
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, providing technical direction and fostering knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Stay current with emerging technologies, recommending relevant adoption to enhance system architecture
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience
- Current or prior role as a Software Architect in a product-based company
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks like React or Angular
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles
- Experience building and scaling APIs, and designing relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in IST with overlapping hours in US time zones
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end software development and technical leadership
