Role OverviewThe candidate will work as part of the
SRE/AMS team
supporting
Oracle Banking Cloud Services (OBCS)
and its SaaS applications. The role involves deploying and operating cloud-native services, improving reliability through automation, and working closely with development teams to ensure high availability, reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate SaaS services to improve availability, scalability, efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure and application layers.
- Build automation to eliminate recurring operational problems.
- Build and enhance M&O tools, dashboards, alerting frameworks, and operational scripts.
- Implement and maintain service monitoring, alert thresholds, SLO/SLA dashboards, and runbooks.
- Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance tuning.
- Work with development teams and take shared ownership of microservices and supporting components.
- Understand end-to-end system architecture, dependencies, and service behavior in production.
- Provide technical guidance on architecture decisions for cloud-native, microservices-based SaaS products.
- Handle incidents with clear understanding of RTO, RPO, availability impacts.
- Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation for OBCS SaaS services.
- Demonstrate strong curiosity and willingness to learn technologies in depth.
Required Experience & Skills
- 6–8 years experience in SRE/AMS/DevOps roles (preferably BFSI).
- At least 3+ years with cloud deployments (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), Kubernetes, and production support.
- Experience with fault-tolerant, high-throughput, highly available, multi-tenant systems.
- Ability to execute patches, upgrades, hotfixes reliably.
- Working knowledge of Oracle ADB or similar database operations.
- Hands-on with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OCI Logging).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
- Understanding of cloud concepts including hyper-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
- Awareness of basic security practices and network topology.
- Experience with capacity management in SaaS environments.
- Experience in Agile teams.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new cloud technologies.
