Senior Shopify Developer

Job Description: Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Shopify Team Lead who can not only write clean, scalable Shopify code but also guide and mentor a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Shopify's Liquid template language, front-end technologies, API integrations, and be up to date with the latest in the Shopify ecosystem. You will also be expected to use AI tools to boost team productivity and build lightweight custom Shopify apps when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Shopify developers and manage day-to-day development activities.
• Write, review, and approve pull requests (PRs) to ensure code quality and performance.
• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .
• Handle JavaScript-based Shopify Functions, Checkout UI Extensions, and Account UI Extensions .
• Integrate with Shopify Storefront API and Admin API for custom features.
• Build and maintain small custom Shopify apps to solve specific business needs.
• Use AI tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload across development tasks.
• Stay updated on the latest changes in the Shopify platform and proactively implement new features.
• Mentor junior developers and train new trainees in Shopify development best practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, QA, and project managers.
• Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, scalable e-commerce solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert in Shopify Liquid , HTML5 , CSS3 , and JavaScript (ES6+) .
• Proficient in handling Shopify-specific JS operations and custom UI extensions.
• Solid understanding of Shopify Storefront API and Admin API (GraphQl) .
• Experience with Shopify Functions and extensibility features like checkout and account UI.
• Ability to develop and deploy custom Shopify apps .
• Familiar with using AI-based tools to optimize development workflows.
• Strong knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem and app integrations.
• Proven experience in leading a development team , conducting PR reviews, and managing task assignments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills .
• Ability to train and mentor junior developers and new team members.
• Strong knowledge of headless commerce setups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies or sprint-based development.
