Shopify Liquid Developer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, high-performance Shopify themes using

  Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

   
• Customize existing themes or develop new ones from scratch (including

  Online Store 2.0

  capabilities) 
• Integrate third-party apps and APIs  
• Collaborate with designers and marketers to implement features from

  Figma or Adobe XD

   
• Optimize site speed, UX, SEO, and accessibility 
• Debug and resolve theme issues or integration errors 
• Implement

  Shopify metafields

  , app blocks, and dynamic sections 
• Manage theme version control using

  Git

  ,

  Shopify CLI

  , and

  Theme Kit

   

Requirements

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience with

  Shopify Liquid

  and theme development 
• Proficient in

  HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery

   
• Strong understanding of

  Shopify APIs

  (Admin, Storefront, GraphQL) 
• Experience with

  JSON templates

  ,

  sections

  ,

  blocks

  , and

  metafields

   
• Familiar with

  Shopify CLI

  , GitHub workflows, and deployment pipelines 
• Knowledge of

  SEO best practices

  and performance optimization 
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (designers, marketers, product managers) 
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 
• Shopify Plus experience 

Nice to Have

• Experience with

  Headless Shopify

• Custom Shopify app development  
• Experience with

  multi-language / multi-currency setups
