The Krones Group, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, plans, develops, and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process technology, bottling, and packaging, plus intralogistics and recycling. Every day, millions of bottles, cans and containers are "processed" in Krones lines - in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industries, dairy and liquid food industry as well as in the chemical, pharmaceutical and home & personal care industries. It is quite likely that the bottle of water, cola or juice in your hand is manufactured in one of the Krones lines!! Krones Digital Solutions India is created as of 2023 to be the Technology Competence Centre for Krones, focusing on developing software solutions for the Internal organization as well as for the customers of Krones Global.

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a ServiceNow Senior Developer who will play a crucial role in designing, developing and deploying solutions using the ServiceNow platform. Primary expertise in ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management), with hands-on experience in ITSM, ITOM, and other modules. The role will directly report to Head of ServiceNow, KDSI and will be based in Bangalore.

What are you in for? (Roles and responsibilities)

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the below:

• Assists Business Process Analyst in estimating release-level effort.

  • Takes ownership of complex business requirements.

• Review requests for enhanced feature functionality and prioritize accordingly.

  • Design and develop new ServiceNow applications and services.
  • Work across applications to deliver new functionality and innovative solutions.

• Work with the ServiceNow platform team, Platform and Process Owners to configure and maintain platform components.

• Lead ServiceNow upgrades by planning and execution.

  • Ensure latest platform upgrades and features are enabled.
  • Manage instance security, user/group access and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

• Manage and resolve incidents related to ServiceNow applications.

  • Ensure platform stability and performance through application maintenance, user management and incident support.
  • Contribute to ServiceNow releases and incident resolution.
  • Conduct extensive reviews of new version release notes, identifying and documenting changes to platform functionality and assessing their impact.
  • Work with ServiceNow and the broader community by participating in local user groups and knowledge events to expand platform knowledge and network.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering/computer science/mathematics/physics or a comparable qualification with

    8 - 10 years of relevant ServiceNow experience.

  • ServiceNow Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in SPM, ITSM or ITOM and custom app development
  • Development Skills: Proficient in scripting (JavaScript, Glide), Flow Designer, UI policies and integrations (REST/SOAP)
  • Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of CMDB, ACLs, Service Catalog and Performance Analytics
  • Agile Delivery: Active participation in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning and backlog grooming
  • Collaboration: Works closely with BAs, architects and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Tools: ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, Git, Postman
  • Quality & Support: Unit testing, peer reviews, documentation and post-deployment support
  • Solution Mindset: Focused on scalable design, platform best practices and continuous improvement
