Senior Service Now Developer

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Backend Developer to join our fast-growing ServiceNow Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend functionalities for custom ServiceNow Service Portal solutions. Youll work closely with front-end developers, architects, and stakeholders to implement scalable and efficient backend logic using best practices within the ServiceNow platform. Role & responsibilities : Design and implement backend components of the ServiceNow Service Portal using JavaScript, Glide API, and other server-side technologies. Create and manage server-side scripts including Script Includes, Business Rules, Workflow scripts, and UI Actions. Develop custom APIs and integrations to support data retrieval and manipulation within the ServiceNow Ecosystem. Optimize portal performance and ensure adherence to platform governance, best practices, and security guidelines. Collaborate with UI/UX designers and front-end developers to deliver seamless portal experiences. Participate in agile development practices including Sprint Planning, code reviews, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend logic, performance, and data integrity. Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation. Preferred candidate profile : 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a strong focus on backend functionality. Proficiency in JavaScript and Glide API (Glide Record, Glide System, etc.) Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture and data model. Experience working with REST APIs, integrations, and MID Servers. Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and tools (JIRA, ServiceNow Agile, etc.). Strong problem solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications : ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). Experience with Scoped Applications or Flow Designer. Knowledge of front-end frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap) used in the Service Portal is a plus. Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
