Job Description

As a Sales Manager at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in leading a sales team within a specified region/district/geography to achieve established sales targets. Your responsibilities will include: - Minimum of 10 years of relevant sales and market development experience. - Planning, directing, and monitoring the activities of the sales team. - Supporting business development, partnerships, and strategic planning. - Developing and implementing business strategies for existing and potential accounts. - Managing the day-to-day activities of the sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy. - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key account personnel. - Identifying opportunities and developing new programs to increase market share. - Assessing the need for new selling programs and processes. - Coaching sales representatives on technical aspects, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and sales techniques. In the PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SALES CAREER STREAM, you will focus on direct sales and operational activities for one or more specified business units. Your role will involve overseeing your area of responsibility, managing performance, talent development, diversity and inclusion, communication, business and operational developments, and directing the responsibilities of employees. Key Differentiating Factors: - Autonomy: You will plan, manage, monitor, and evaluate the country/business sales team's ongoing performance. - Organizational Impact: You will establish key elements of tactical and direct sales and operational plans with a significant contribution towards achieving results. - Innovation and Complexity: You will drive the implementation of transformational change and develop new sales operating policies, products, processes, and standards. - Communication and Influence: You will communicate with internal and external customers and vendors, influencing across functions and businesses. - Leadership and Talent Management: You will manage at least one large team comprising other managers and supervisors and experienced sales professionals. Required Knowledge and Experience: - Broad sales, business development, and management knowledge. - Mastery level knowledge and skills within the sales discipline.
