The Big Picture

The Senior Sales Engineer will drive Illumine-i s global growth by expanding our footprint across the MENA and US regions. Your core focus will be to identify high-potential opportunities, build long-term client partnerships, and convert technical excellence into business impact. With a blend of engineering acumen and commercial strategy, you ll bridge the gap between client needs and Illumine-i s solar design and engineering solutions positioning us as a trusted global partner in sustainable innovation.

What you can expect as a Senior Sales Engineer at Illumine-i:

  • You ll be responsible for the business development initiatives across international markets, with primary focus on MENA and US regions, identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities in the solar design engineering space.
  • You ll leverage CRM tools to manage leads, track client interactions, and maintain a healthy, transparent sales pipeline.
  • You ll engage with potential clients through LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, and Lusha, driving targeted outreach and relationship nurturing.
  • You ll prepare and deliver compelling proposals and technical presentations that clearly communicate Illumine-i s value proposition to global clients.
  • You ll work closely with the engineering and delivery teams to tailor solutions aligned with client requirements and regional market expectations.
  • You ll analyze international market trends, competitor positioning, and client feedback to guide strategic decisions and optimize business outcomes.
  • You ll maintain strong client relationships, ensuring proactive communication, after-sales support, and long-term partnership development.
  • You ll support leadership in revenue forecasting, bid planning, and performance reporting, contributing to Illumine-i s global growth roadmap.
  • You ll act as a brand ambassador, representing Illumine-i in international forums, online platforms, and client meetings with professionalism and confidence.

Essential Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in international sales, business development, or technical sales, ideally in solar, renewable energy, or design engineering services.
  • Proven success in managing and closing deals across MENA and US markets.
  • Strong grasp of solar engineering workflows, design deliverables, and technical terminology.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Lusha, and Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Excellent business communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to sales strategy, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently across time zones.

Great to Have:

  • Prior experience in solar EPC, design consultancy, or renewable technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with international commercial practices, proposal formats, and pricing structures.
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and customer expectations in MENA and US regions.
