Job Description

The incumbent for the Finance Department at Piramal Consumer Healthcare in Kurla, Mumbai will have the responsibility to analyze financial and management information, prepare business plans, provide tools for strategic decision making, evaluate new business proposals, handle daily MIS, assist Business Heads in meeting financial goals, ensure financial hygiene in business verticals, manage distributor relationships, and oversee internal controls & processes including audits. The key stakeholders include internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, HR, Operations, Supply chain, Sales IT & Analytics, Strategic Marketing, and R&D, while external stakeholders involve Retail Outlets, Distributors, Customers, and Vendors. The reporting structure will be under the Vice President of Finance. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in OTC, FMCG, and E-commerce companies, with 2 to 3 years of exposure in supporting ecommerce functions. They should possess good knowledge of financial and business processes, experience in managing distributors, marketplace accounts, and other customers, along with proficiency in SAP FICO module and Automation. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are required, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory. In terms of Financial Analysis and Reporting, the responsibilities include issuing timely and accurate reports on receivables, analyzing and disseminating various business indicators, preparing detailed financial and budgetary plans, tracking provisions against budgets, approving claims from ecommerce distributors, ensuring budgetary discipline, reporting on exceptions in discounts and credit notes, maintaining regulatory compliances, and handling audits among other tasks. The candidate should also maintain systems and provide information support by establishing controls, verifying system integrity, and supporting decision-making through analytical MIS packs. Demonstrating business acumen and strategic capability, planning key business initiatives, analyzing new business opportunities, and interacting with other departments to support business decisions are crucial aspects of the role. People management and development are key responsibilities as well, involving leading, recruiting, growing, and retaining high-caliber talent to build competent teams, empowering team members to take on responsibilities independently, and ensuring inclusive growth within the organization.
