Job Title: Senior Resource Management (Senior Resource Advisor)

Department:

Role Summary

The Senior Resource Advisor plays a key role in supporting UK Audit & Advisory by managing offshore staffing supply, deployment, and forward workforce planning. The role requires balancing business demand with individual skills and aspirations while ensuring seamless delivery across engagement teams. Strong analytical ability, negotiation skills, and effective stakeholder management are essential for driving optimal resourcing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Offshore Supply & Deployment

  • Manage annual forward planning activities and allocate portfolios based on budgets, skill sets, experience levels, and business priorities.
  • Oversee day-to-day resourcing operations, including handling deployment challenges, addressing staffing shortfalls, and coordinating with engagement managers.
  • Make efficient, timely allocation decisions aligned with availability, regulatory requirements, and engagement needs.
  • Conduct scenario planning to recommend optimal resourcing solutions to business leaders.
  • Collaborate with other Practice Groups to support cross-group lending/borrowing of resources.

Resourcing Tools & Data Management

  • Maintain and update resourcing tools, including role creation, candidate searches, shortlisting, and allocations.
  • Manage resource request and release processes; respond to mailbox queries with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Upload future resourcing forecasts and identify potential resource clashes or shortages.
  • Work closely with the MI team to support reporting and resolve SAP–ProFinda mismatches.
  • Share availability reports, booked-hours summaries, and utilisation insights with stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality data integrity, conduct regular data cleansing, and maintain accurate information for efficient decision-making.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum

    6+ years of experience

    in resource management, staffing, workforce planning, or scheduling roles.
  • Strong understanding of resource management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency with resourcing tools and workforce management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, resilience, and a collaborative working style.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to handle changing priorities.
