Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Employee relations:
Resolve employee grievances, mediate disputes, and work to maintain a harmonious and engaging work environment on the factory floor.
Compliance and safety:
Ensure the factory adheres to all federal, state, and local labor laws, health and safety standards, and company policies. This includes managing factory licenses and coordinating with bodies like the Department of Factories and Labour.
Compensation and benefits:
Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and compensation strategies for all staff.
Training and development:
Identify training needs and develop and implement programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
Performance management:
Manage performance appraisal systems, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans.
Industrial relations:
Manage labor union relations, which may include formulating and implementing rules and regulations in coordination with the union.
HR strategy and support:
Partner with factory leadership to develop and implement HR strategies, conduct workforce planning, and contribute to organizational development.
Recruitment and onboarding:
Lead the entire recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding, for all factory employees.
Record-keeping:
Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and generate reports for management.
