The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) is currently recruiting passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join our South Asia research team for a project focused on Tibetan issues in international relations and politics.

This is a remote, part-time role ideal for:

✅ Tibetans with original insight

✅ Indians, Americans, or other nationals with academic or professional experience in Tibetan affairs

🔍 About the Role:

As a Researcher/Consultant, you will:

Conduct research on Tibetan diplomatic, political, and cultural issues

Analyze relations between the Central Tibetan Administration and foreign governments, NGOs, and UN agencies

Write concise reports (800–1500 words) or offer consultative insights

Collaborate with our global research team

🎓 Requirements:

Background in Tibetan studies, international relations, or political science

Strong English writing and communication skills

Independent, detail-oriented, and well-organized

Industry connections or community insight is a plus

📝 Academic qualifications are not mandatory, but high-quality deliverables are essential.

💼 What We Offer:

Trial-based compensation starting from $200 per report/service

Regular pay: $1,000–$3,000/month based on contributions
