As our Pharma business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Senior R&T Manager to join our organisation to Lead the Formulation & Pharmaceutical Application development in India, focusing on innovation, product development, and technical collaboration with Pharma customers, Drive strategic research initiatives aligned with global and regional business goals.
Reporting into the Head of R&D, Asia of our Life Sciences business, you will develop the R&D Strategy in line with Global and Regional direction, Lead innovation in excipients for Pharma formulations including small molecules, peptides, injectables and other dosage forms and lead the lab including Application scientists & lab technicians.

M.Pharm + PhD qualified with extensive experience in Formulation Research. Formulation R&D projects aimed at both breakthrough innovation and application development. In-depth understanding of the local generics market and global pharma industry landscape. More specifically, the key customers to target and the ability to identify collaboration opportunities with customers. In-depth understanding of technical and market trends with a track record in delivering new product development in line with commercial targets. Good understanding of IP scoping and landscape within pharma formulations & excipients chemistry technology. Strong scientific rigor in the design and execution of experiments to generate relevant application data. Ability to identify and implement cultural and operational change management practices within an established R&D structure. Excellent insights into the in vivo and in vitro applications of various drug delivery platforms. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work strategically across a highly matrix. Ability to organize and groom a formidable team. What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading research and development activities within the Pharma business in India, driving innovation and commercialization of projects. Guiding the team in prioritizing activities. Acting as the main contact for external stakeholders (customers and regulators) and internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, etc.). Establishing and executing scientific writing processes. Strategically deciding on approaches to increase visibility of Croda's technologies within relevant scientific communities. Providing a thorough understanding of the application IP landscape for small molecules & protein delivery and working with marketing teams to identify and scope new market opportunities. Evaluating new technologies in small molecules & protein delivery and leading strategic discussions with Croda's Executive team on technologies, M&A, and related projects. Planning and implementing research and development strategies for small molecules & protein delivery. Participating in scientific interactions with academia and industry within the field of small molecules & protein delivery. Publishing peer-reviewed papers in relevant journals and actively participating in scientific conferences and meetings in the field. Providing strong people development and leadership practices to nurture and develop talent within the business. Forming strong collaborations with internal stakeholders across small molecules & protein delivery growth platforms. What We Offer:
