Position Overview

Lead breakthrough high-value thermo-chemical recycling processes for solar PV waste, managing research & development, driving scale-up to 10 t/day industrial capacity. Achieve high silicon purity and silver recovery rates through process optimisations. 

Key Responsibilities

Process Development & Optimization

• Lead development and optimisation of Beyond’s recycling process
• Oversee silver extraction and silicon purification processes
• Enhance plant & machinery to improve cycle times, recovery & purity rates

Analytical & Quality Management

• Supervise TGA, FTIR, SEM, MP-AES, and EDAX analytical validation
• Implement quality control, ensuring consistent material recovery and purity specifications
• Establish SOPs for all thermochemical processes

Required Qualifications

Education: M.Tech/M.S. in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science (PhD preferred)

Technical Expertise

• 2-5+ years hydrometallurgical processes: acid leaching, metal extraction, solvent separation
• Advanced analytical chemistry: XRD, SEM-EDAX, FTIR, TGA, ICP-MS expertise
• Chemical process optimization: statistical experimental design, process economics
• Environmental compliance: effluent treatment, emission control, chemical handling safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Solar/semiconductor industry materials processing experience
• Precious metal recovery (silver, copper) background  
• E-waste recycling or plant operations knowledge
