Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance (QA)

·        Oversee quality checks for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.

·        Implement and monitor SOPs, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and food safety standards.

·        Conduct line inspections, sample testing, and quality audits.

·        Verify vendor materials and coordinate with suppliers for quality improvements.

·        Review COAs, batch records, and documentation for all production batches.

·        Monitor CCPs and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

·        Handle customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

2. Research & Development (R&D)

·        Support new product development (NPD) from concept to commercialization.

·        Develop and optimize formulations based on market trends and regulatory requirements.

·        Conduct pilot trials, stability studies, shelf-life testing, and sample evaluations.

·        Work with production teams to scale up new formulations.

·        Maintain documentation for NPD projects and prepare technical specifications.

3. Quality Control (QC)

·        Manage daily lab operations including chemical, microbiological & physical testing.

·        Maintain calibration of lab instruments and ensure accuracy of results.

·        Review testing reports and release/hold finished products based on test results.

4. Compliance & Documentation

·        Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO, BRC, GMP, and statutory guidelines.

·        Maintain QA documentation including SOPs, WI, manuals, batch sheets, calibration logs, and audit reports.

·        Prepare reports for management review and continuous improvement.

5. Process Improvement

·        Identify process deviations and implement improvements to reduce waste and enhance product quality.

·        Lead internal audits and cross-functional quality improvement projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

·        B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.

Experience

·        3–6 years of experience in FMCG (Food/Personal Care/Beverages) Quality & R&D roles.

Strong understanding of QA, QC, and NPD processes.
