Senior Quality Engineer

Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer – Building Construction (Government Projects)
Location: Guwahati, Assam.
Experience Required: Minimum 13 Years in Building Construction Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the quality of all civil construction activities for government building projects in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and relevant codes (IS/IRC/CPWD standards).
• Conduct regular quality inspections, material testing, and workmanship checks for construction items including concrete, steel, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing works.
• Supervise laboratory and field testing of materials such as cement, aggregates, sand, concrete cubes, bitumen, etc.
• Maintain and update Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and related documentation.
• Ensure that all tests are conducted as per contract requirements and maintain proper records of test results and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and third-party testing agencies to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Verify materials received at site meet required specifications and approve or reject as necessary.
• Conduct site audits and prepare daily/weekly quality reports for submission to the project management team and client.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality standards as per government norms.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and government officials for inspections and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior quality staff and site engineers.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 13 years of experience in quality control and assurance in building construction projects (preferably government sector or PSU projects).
• Strong knowledge of IS Codes, CPWD Specifications, and relevant BIS standards.
• Hands-on experience in material testing, mix design, concrete and steel inspection, and quality documentation.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and report preparation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Experience in handling quality audits and third-party inspections.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
