About the Role:

In this role you will lead and resolve technical from functional and technical perspective, ensure adherence to testing governance and processes, review requirements to identify all areas of functional and non-functional (e.g. capacity, availability, response times, etc.) testing required, create and execute tests using Approved Automation/Functional/Performance Test tools as applicable aligning to overall test strategy defined, define the overall test strategy and approach for the programme , complete assignment work to budget, time and quality requirements , document all work in accordance with agreed standards, and with re-use in mind .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Backend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of Backend applications.
• Identify and report software defects with precision, using appropriate bug tracking tools.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of backend applications across different versions.
• Work closely with developers to understand user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring effective test coverage.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies, emphasizing automation and efficiency.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mobile application testing, incorporating new techniques and tools as appropriate.
• Champion a culture of quality and excellence within the QA team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile work model.
• Strong understanding of both

  functional and non-functional

  testing concepts.
• Strong Experience in

  API Testing Concepts – Advanced

• Strong Experience in

  SQL Queries - Basic to Advanced

• Strong understanding of

  mobile/web

  application workflows
• Ability to create comprehensive test cases based on requirements and execute them effectively to identify defects.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting: Proficiency in using bug tracking tools like Jira or Bugzilla to report and track issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Should have knowledge in automation framework(Python - Selenium/Playwright/Appium)

GOOD TO HAVE?

• Experience with version control systems like Git for managing test scripts and code.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
